Camp Camelot is Nevada's premiere equestrian riding camp, owned and operated by world-champion horse trainer Tara Clark. This annual summer camp program is held in cool Pioche, NV, at the world famous Amazon Ranch. 

Camp Camelot is a unique resident camp experience for young riders ages 8-16 which focuses on horsemanship throughout history. Transportation to and from the ranch is included from the Las Vegas area including McCarran Airport. Campers ride 2-4 hours a day on our professionally trained horses under strict supervision. 

Other activities include hiking, fishing, outdoor camping in native american tipis (teepees) and period style tents, swimming in fresh water springs, enjoying dutch-oven meals, museum trips, history lessons, horse shows, visiting ancient petroglyphs, horse-painting and more!

Camp Camelot Family Four Package: 
The Perfect Family Vacation!

Camp Camelot’s Family package is designed for parents that are not ready to send their kids away for an overnight yet, families with children younger than camp age of 8, children of varying ages or the Grandparents wanting to get the cousins together! It’s not just for families as we have shared this adventure with Friends with kids, Girlfriends weekend out and more. 

This is a personalized program starting with your drive up on a Thursday afternoon and is a compact version of what you will experience at one and two week summer camp programs. 

Families provide their own transportation to and from the ranch and to outings. The adventure begins upon arrival to The Amazon Ranch noon on Thursday where you will enjoy a delicious lunch in our outdoor kitchen. We then trot off to Pioche to tour the historic towns two museums, Shoppe’s and boot hill cemetery! 

Back to the ranch to get acquainted with your horses, settled in to your tipi and set with your tack for the next. Tipis are carpeted with indoor/outdoor carpet and supplied with cots. Showers are outdoor units (enclosed but open to the sky) Restrooms are clean portable toilets. The rest is up to you and a “what to bring list” is provided. 

Nightly, we enjoy a relaxed atmosphere around the campfire. Volleyball, tetherball and badminton are always available for your enjoyment. Friday and Saturday mornings we learn to catch, groom and saddle up for a detailed in arena riding lesson. We play games on horseback and learn to work obstacles on horseback.

Friday afternoon we fish off the pontoon boat at Eagle Valley Lake. We cook our dinner at the lake that evening. 

Saturday afternoon is the adventure you choose. Cave crawling and spelunking, a afternoon hike at Echo Lake, seeing the historic kilns and mining area of Jackrabbit, visiting Indian Petroglyphs or Panaca Spring ~ a fresh warm spring pong or the Rainbow Canyon which may include a hike, mustang sitings, a swim or petroglyphs. Parents and kids participate in an art & craft or a hayride on Saturday evening. 

We rap it up with a Sunday morning arena warm up and trail ride and lunch before we send you off to the city! Meals are delicious, a wonderful morning buffet and Dutch oven specialties for Dinner each night! Pricing starts at min of (4) people at $350.00 per person depending on your activites.
